Hatcher Pass Elopement | Summit Lake, Alaska

Alaska

Hatcher Pass is one of the most epic spots for an elopement. It gives you all the feels of wandering around Alaska’s great wilderness. Summit Lake is only open 3 months of the year, but it shares a special vista I can’t get enough of. And autumn! The tundra colors are on fire. Catch it all on a clear day and you’re sure to see some paragliders like we did.

James and Jonella were married just a few weeks before, but waited to do their portraits on a more private and relaxed day. We explored the mountains, sipped bubbly, and even ate a mini cake made special for the occasion. These type of sessions are couples favorites because they get to savor every moment (and wear their gowns again too!) It’s a great alternative when you don’t have time to reach your favorite locations on the wedding day.
